| About Us Jerrel Kutil - Chief Operations Manager Mr. Kutil began his career in 1993 as an Electrical Apprentice graduating from the North Texas Joint Electrical Training Center in 1998 after receiving the "Apprentice of the Year Award " in each of his five years of training while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Jerrel also obtained his Associates Degree in Electrical Construction from North Lake College in 1999. And has held a Journeyman Electricians license since 1998. Jerrel's work within the Industry caused him to realize his passion for working in Critical Environments and he focused on Central Office and Data Center Installations and obtained training and experience in the construction, maintenance, systems installation and testing of systems associated with these facilities. Jerrel has repeatedly and consistently led the competition in the adoption of new technologies and the application of new techniques while minimizing risk while working in these critical environments. His participation in the design, construction and maintenance of Critical Facilities has gained him wide recognition as an expert authority on Electrical and Telecommunications matters among his industry peers, consultants and customers.
David Bonlie - Service Manager Mr. Bonlie oversees our service department at GCATS; his diversified skill sets suit him well for this task. David began his career in 1998 as an Electrical Apprentice working on a variety of commercial projects graduating from the North Texas Joint Electrical Training Center in 2003 after obtaining his Journeyman's License. He continued his education obtaining various Structured Cabling Certificates a Corning Fiber Optics Installation Training Certificate, and a DC Power Systems Installation, Test and Turn up Certificate from Argus Power Systems. Mr. Bonlie is certified by Corning to install, splice, terminate and test fiber optic systems, he is well versed in common structured cabling systems design, installation and testing and he is also certified to install, test and turn up Argus Power Systems. Mr. Bonlie is well versed in the Methods of Procedures associated with the installation and maintenance requirements in critical environments such as Data Centers and Central Office, and Communications Hubs.
Jeff Austin - Telecommunications Director Mr. Austin began his career in the telecommunications field in 1993 within the United States Army, Jeff served four years as Communications Specialist and Networks Administrator. After completing his military service Jeff transitioned into the public life serving as Field Service Manager for PSINet overseeing the Western Region of PSINet's Internet Services, when PSINet was purchased by Cogent Communications Mr. Austin managed the integration of the two networks, expansion of the Cogent network and new customer installations, including test and turn up. Jeff joined GCATS where he manages over 300 projects per year varying in size, scope and technical requirements, taking each from acquisition to completion. Jeff's dedication to the industry, and its constant evolution, ensures his commitment to meeting customer demands using cutting-edge technology with high quality results.
Ricky Bettis - Project Manager Telecommunications Ricky began his career in the Telecom Industry in 1998 working as a technician in his 12 years of experience he has performed work in all phases of the Telecom Industry for the nations leading providers. Ricky holds factory Certifications for the Installation test and turn up of various Optical Network Systems through Cisco, Nortel and Lucent. As well as Corning Fiber Optics Installation Certificate. Ricky's attention to detail and quality installations have provided GCATS with repeat business and satisfied customers for years. Tony Thomas - Project Manager Electrical Construction Mr. Thomas began his career in the Electrical Industry in 1993 as an Electrical Apprentice working on various industrial projects including Bell Helicopter, General Motors Assembly Plant, and several Power House Renovations. Tony graduated from the North Texas Joint Apprenticeship Training Center after obtaining his Journeyman's license in 1998 and was immediately promoted to foreman overseeing numerous ground up and tenant finish projects. Mr. Thomas joined the GCATS team in 2006 as a Project Manager his attention to detail, quality of work and ability to meet tough schedules while controlling cost has gained him respect in the construction industry. Tony believes teamwork is crucial to a successful project and repeat business.
Russell Parker - Project Manager Electrical Construction Mr. Parker began his career in the Electrical industry in 1999 as an electrical apprentice working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects. Winning the Frank Wilson Award for Outstanding Apprenticeship record in 1999 and 2000. In 2002 Russell graduated from the North Texas Joint Apprenticeship Training Center and began working in the capacity of a job site foreman until joining GCATS team in 2008 where he works as a project manager.
